urban discovery academy

Our field trip to Urban Discovery Academy was so fun! Can we do more stuff like that this semester? :)

I was really impressed by the work you guys did. What a fun project! It definitely inspired me to think about other ways to use design, not only with graphic design. It makes sense that these skills can be applied to a lot of other places.

I loved the entrance, especially the round light fixtures!
















I also started thinking about my future and the type of school I would want my future kids to attend. Something like this sounds preferable to standard school. We'll see how that goes, but it is fun to think about. I really liked the aspect of using the community as part of the curriculum.

My favorite part was the specially designed bathroom signs. So cute! It's good to see what kind of freedom and limitations there are. At this stage, I would have just assumed that you couldn't change the standard signs, so that really helped expand my horizons.

Thank you for sharing that with us. That was a great experience. It left a lasting impression on me to think bigger!
